Paper Description
This paper provides a critical examination of issues, e.g., pollution, conservation, utilisation, that freshwater ecosystems face, and methods to mitigate potentially competing interests.
Paper Structure
This paper is taught through a series of seminars and involves reading of appropriate background literature (provided), and group discussions. Accordingly, attendance at all seminars is mandatory. You must inform the course convenor before the seminar if you will be unavoidably absent.
Lectures: Thursday 3.00-5.00pm in E1.10. The class starts at 3.00pm

Students who successfully complete the course should be able to:

Major report 30%, participation 10%, final exam 60%
Assessment Components
The internal assessment/exam ratio (as stated in the University Calendar) is 40:60. The final exam makes up 60% of the overall mark.
